This handheld TDS meter shows dissolved-solids estimates in ppm, conductivity in µS/cm and water temperature. Use it to compare source water with a mixed nutrient solution, or to record changes between reservoir top-ups. The pen-style body includes a digital display, shift control and reading-hold function for straightforward sample checks. TDS is a converted estimate based on conductivity, so it does not identify individual nutrients and is not a substitute for pH testing. Record the unit and the conditions of each sample to make your comparisons useful. Use a separate pH meter when you need a complete routine for nutrient-solution management.

Rinse the probe, immerse only the sensing end, move gently and wait for the reading to stabilise. Record the unit as well as the value. Check against a suitable reference solution and follow the supplied procedure for adjustment. Keep the display dry and clean the probe after use.

Does a TDS meter also measure pH?

No. This meter checks TDS, conductivity and temperature. pH requires a different measurement.

What is the difference between ppm and µS/cm?

µS/cm expresses conductivity. Ppm is a converted estimate of dissolved solids; conversion scales can differ between meters.

Does higher TDS mean better nutrition?

No. Source-water minerals contribute to the reading, and the meter cannot identify individual nutrients or their balance.

Can a low reading prove water is safe to drink?

No. A TDS reading does not establish drinking-water safety or detect every contaminant.

Should I check calibration?

Compare periodically with a suitable reference solution and follow the supplied instructions for any adjustment.

When should I take readings?

Use a repeatable point in the routine, such as after mixing or before a top-up, and record the units and sample conditions.
