Inline Extractor Fan for Grow Tent Air Exchange
This inline extractor fan is available in 100mm and 150mm versions for removing warm, humid air from an indoor grow space. Choose the same diameter across the fan, carbon filter, ducting and clamps so the exhaust line connects without reducers.
Choose 100mm or 150mm
| Option | Listed speed | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| 100mm | 2600 RPM | Your tent and existing ducting use 100mm fittings |
| 150mm | 2500 RPM | You need a larger exhaust path or already use 150mm components |
Fan diameter is only one part of the decision. Tent volume, lamp heat, duct length, bends and carbon-filter resistance all affect real airflow. When two sizes could work, the larger fan gives more adjustment headroom while a controller can reduce airflow when conditions are stable.
How to Build the Exhaust Line
- Confirm the duct-port diameter on the tent.
- Mount the carbon filter high in the grow space where warm air collects.
- Connect the filter to the inline extractor fan with matching ducting and clamps.
- Route the outlet with as few tight bends as possible.
- Check that the tent walls pull inward slightly when the system is running.
The fan has a listed 1.5m power lead and an operating-temperature range of -20°C to 50°C. Keep electrical connections dry, support the fan independently and disconnect power before cleaning.
Complete a Compatible Ventilation Setup
Pair the fan with a matching carbon filter, aluminium ducting and ducting clamps. Browse the full grow tent ventilation range if you also need circulation or climate monitoring.
Inline Extractor Fan FAQ
Which diameter should I choose?
Match the diameter already used by the tent port, filter and ducting. Use 100mm for a compact 100mm line and 150mm for a complete 150mm line.
Can I connect the fan directly to a carbon filter?
Yes, provided both components have the same flange diameter. Secure every connection with a correctly sized clamp.
Where should the fan be installed?
It can sit inside or outside the tent. Position the filter high, support the fan securely and keep the outlet path short.
How often should it be cleaned?
Inspect the inlet, fan housing and ducting between growing cycles. Dust build-up and crushed ducting can reduce airflow.
